Twenty-four from Nigeria Female Students Liberated After Eight Days Following Kidnapping

Approximately two dozen Nigerian-born female students captured from the learning facility over a week ago have been released, the country's president announced.

Armed assailants raided an educational institution located in Kebbi State recently, taking the life of an employee and seizing two dozen plus one scholars.

Nigerian President government leadership commended military personnel for their "quick action" to the incident - while precise conditions regarding their liberation remained unclear.

Africa's most populous nation has experienced numerous cases of abductions over the past few years - amounting to numerous students captured at faith-based academy last Friday remaining unaccounted for.

In a statement, an appointed consultant to the president verified that every student abducted from the school within the region had been accounted for, noting that this event triggered imitation captures across further local territories.

Tinubu said that additional forces would be deployed towards high-risk zones to prevent more cases of kidnapping".

In a separate post on X, the president stated: "Aerial forces must sustain ongoing monitoring across distant regions, aligning missions together with infantry to properly detect, contain, disrupt, and neutralise any dangerous presence."

Exceeding fifteen hundred students have been abducted from Nigerian schools in recent years, back when 276 girls got captured in the notorious major capture incident.

Recently, a minimum of numerous pupils and workers got captured at St Mary's School, a Catholic boarding school, located within Niger state.
