Raducanu advanced to round three in three Grand Slam tournaments Grand Slams in the current campaign.

Britain's Emma Raducanu will not compete in the last two tournaments of the year due to a health issue she has been battling in recent days.

The 22-year-old was scheduled to compete in Tokyo and Hong Kong but has decided to fly home to recover prior to beginning plans for the 2026 season.

These plans are set to feature her coach Francisco Roig, as the pair have decided to continue collaborating again next season.

Raducanu underwent blood pressure monitoring in her opening round versus Ann Li in Wuhan last week and withdrew when behind 6-1 4-1 on a day with extreme humidity.

Another medical visit was necessary medical attention at the Ningbo Open this week, where she fell in a three-set match to local wildcard Zhu Lin in the opening round.

Her movement was far from freely in the final set against Zhu owing to back discomfort that has affected her at times this year.

Such performances followed a positive campaign, in which the player advanced into the world's top 30 for the first time since her previous ranking, concluded with three straight losses.

Raducanu had three match points prior to falling to American player Jessica Pegula in the third stage in Beijing last month.

The player achieved 28 victories during 2025 and reached the semi-finals in Washington, but her standout performance was at March's Miami Open.

The British number one made the last eight of a premier WTA event, overcoming Emma Navarro, the eighth seed during the tournament before losing in three sets to fourth-ranked Pegula.

She was coached by Mark Petchey between Miami and Wimbledon, with Francisco Roig stepping in in time for the US Open.

The first plan with Rafael Nadal's former coach was until the end of the season but they will keep working together, with a training session scheduled for the end of the year.

She mentioned that the trial session with Roig post-Wimbledon was like a "black ops mission" as they tried to keep the meeting secret.

She nearly succeeded to beating world number one Aryna Sabalenka at their initial event as a team in August's Cincinnati tournament.

The coach also accompanied Raducanu in New York, where she advanced to round three before being beaten by Rybakina, champion at Wimbledon in 2022.
